Educational Requirements:
∎ Textile Graduate in Apparel Merchandising or equivalent of Fashion Diploma
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that the required fabric is available and oversee the inspection process to facilitate an uninterrupted process.
∎ Analyze and record defects whilst inspecting the fabric, and subsequently informing complex issues to the superior.
∎ Bring forth supplier issues to the management and follow up supplier claims and fabric rejections whilst coordinating with the buying offices to get approval for fabric- related issues.
∎ Ensure the inspection of required number of fabric rolls/yardage to represent the whole lot of fabric rolls.
∎ Manage all technical issues related to fabrics across all categories (all Knit fabrics)
∎ Carry out risk assessments during developments and pre-production meetings
∎ Resolve all technical issues related to fabrics arising from supplier or customer
∎ Work with internal QA team and merchandising teams to set up effective tools and evaluation mechanisms
∎ Respond and give solutions to technical queries from customers
∎ Source fabrics from domestic and overseas suppliers
∎ Innovate and develop latest yarns, finish and fabric
∎ Conduct regular mill weeks (both yarn suppliers and fabric suppliers)
∎ Conduct regular visits to factories in Bangladesh as well as off shore factories and mills
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' experience as a fabric technician or inspector in reputed company working with top brands
∎ Specialist in knit fabrics both man-made and natural fabrics (from fiber to finishing)
∎ Expert knowledge in knit fabrics, compositions, construction, behavior and production process
∎ Technical knowledge in dyeing and finishing process
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team
∎ Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic
∎ Strong presentation and delivery skills
∎ Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
∎ IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Specially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
∎ Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
∎ Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines
