∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering from a reputed university in Bangladesh. Graduates from other discipline can also apply.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Fabric Manufacturing, Textile
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Buying House, Garments, Multinational Companies
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Check shrinkage / color fastness & GSM of each batch.
∎ Ensure base fabrics are correct to customer specifications.
∎ Check knitting quality prior to dying, check dying continuity against approved standards.
∎ Make sure correct yarn is used prior to knitting (yarn matrix to be completed ensuring that the Ulster report is available for each yarn).
∎ Weekly reports to be completed showing all test results and to be distributed accordingly.
∎ Ensure 3rd party testing is conducted where required.
∎ Responsible for aspects of fabric from yarn through to finished fabric in bulk production.
∎ Collect and organize samples.
∎ Organize all headers and swatch cards and prepare presentation materials for review with Design and/or Merchandising.
∎ Collect and track FIS sheets for all fabrics, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
∎ Gather data to support various Raw Material analyses.
∎ Organize and maintain the color master for each season as well as assign color names.
∎ Work closely with Design, Product Development, Production and Merchandising departments for their fabric needs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Must have excellent knowledge in Fabrics/Yarn with capacity to handle renowned buyers from all over the world.
∎ Should be able to work on own initiative under pressure with set target.
∎ Should be proficient in the use of computer including MS Word, Excel, Internet, etc.
∎ Should be fluent in both spoken and written communications in English. Ability to speak Hindi would be an added advantage.
