Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Minimum of 5 years of experience in knit fabric development and design, ideally within an export house or large-scale production environment.
∎ Technical Proficiency: Expertise in textile design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and specialized knitwear software.
∎ Creative Vision & Market Knowledge: Strong creative and aesthetic sense with an ability to interpret and implement fashion trends into commercially viable products.
∎ Problem-Solving & Innovation: Excellent analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation in fabric and design processes.
∎ Communication: Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for direct client interactions and presentations.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead Fabric Development: Spearhead the creation of new knit fabrics, focusing on advanced techniques and cutting-edge trends, from initial concept through to final production.
∎ Trend Analysis & Design Direction: Conduct thorough market research and trend forecasting to develop creative, market-relevant knit designs that align with global fashion trends and client demands.
∎ Quality Assurance: Oversee all aspects of fabric quality control, working closely with production teams to ensure each development meets our high standards for durability, comfort, and finish.
∎ Technical Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of knit structures, yarn selection, and textile finishing techniques to design and develop innovative knit products.
∎ Client Interaction & Collaboration: Work closely with international clients to present fabric concepts, incorporate feedback, and ensure all design developments align with brand standards and project requirements.
∎ Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering an environment of learning, creativity, and collaboration.
∎ Any other job as assigned by the management.
