Responsibilities & Context:
To ensure smooth operability of extruder (single & twin screw) with target for floating fish feed production.
Adjust parameter temperature, screw speed, steam pressure, moisture, and die to ensure proper expansion, texture, and density.
Ensure good physical appearance of extruded particle (size, shape, moisture, durability) along with floatability as per formulation.
Work closely with IPQC & Lab team to maintain nutritional & texture standard by taking regular sampling & testing in time of production.
Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and calibration of extruder and its auxiliaries (High intensity pre-conditioner, dryer, feed cutter, coater etc.)
Find Out mechanical or process-related issues quickly to minimize downtime of overall production, Practice KAIZEN, 5S, PDCA to enhance capabilities.
Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of part & equipment associate with Extruder, Ensure safety stock of spare parts, tools, equipment for regular operations.
Analyze process data to improve production efficiency, throughput, and energy usage. Recommend changes in formulation or setup to enhance extrusion performance.
Coordinate with main production control room for preparing RM, drying, and packing sections to ensure smooth workflow.
Supervise & provide training extruder operators and helpers on SOP machine, ensuring EHS and hygiene standards.
