Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop comprehensive designs for fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, alarms and suppression systems tailored to the apparel manufacturing sector.
∎ Ensure adherence to relevant codes including NFPA standards and local fire regulations.
∎ Work closely with engineering and production teams to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly with HVAC, electrical systems, and equipment layouts.
∎ Supervise the installation of fire protection systems, providing expert guidance to construction teams throughout the process.
∎ Conduct field inspections to verify that installations align with design specifications and regulatory requirement.
∎ Maintain Meticulous records of design and installation activities, including specifications, plans, and inspection reports.
∎ Provide technical guidance to engineering and maintenance teams as needed, ensuring the effective operation of fire protection systems.
∎ Stay informed of updates in codes and regulations, as well as advancements in fire protection technology, to ensure ongoing compliance.
∎ Ensure regular maintenance and inspection of fire detection and protection systems, including control panels of CFD and CFPS.
∎ Exhibit a strong understanding of emergency response protocols and risk assessment for fire protection.
∎ Prepare a list of materials required for CFDS and CFPS in new construction projects and ensure completion of as-built designs and drawings.
∎ Lead and coordinate the activities of the fire protection and detection team, ensuring all members are equipped to handle responsibilities effectively.
∎ In-depth knowledge of BNBC, NFPA 13, 14, &20.§ Proven experience in fire protection system design and implementation.
∎ Strong analytical skills in risk identifications and emergency response management system.
