Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, QnQ and MPLS

• Experience in ISP backbone, IIG, or large enterprise network environments

• Knowledge of GPON/EPON, FTTH networks

• Familiarity with network monitoring and performance tools

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

About the Role:
Triangle Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Network Engineer to join our team. The candidate will serve as the primary technical expert for backbone and core network operations, handling complex network issues, troubleshooting, and ensuring high service availability. This role involves managing vendor coordination, performing root cause analysis (RCA), optimizing network performance, and leading NOC and branch engineers for 24/7 operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in core routing, BGP, peering, ISP network architecture, GPON/FTTH deployments, IPv4/IPv6 operations, and multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, MikroTik). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills, combined with leadership capability, are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead major incident troubleshooting and perform RCA for backbone and core network outages

• Act as the final escalation point during critical network events

• Diagnose and resolve core routing issues including BGP instability, peering failures, and upstream outages

• Design, implement, and optimize ISP core and edge network architecture, routing policies, and traffic engineering

• Manage upstream providers, IX connectivity, and vendor coordination to meet SLA and performance requirements

• Execute network upgrades, capacity planning, IPv4/IPv6 deployments, and change management processes

• Deploy and maintain multi-vendor platforms and GPON/EPON OLT, FTTH infrastructure for broadband services

• Monitor and optimize network performance, reducing latency and packet loss

• Maintain IRR and RPKI for routing security and compliance

• Lead, mentor, and coordinate NOC and branch office engineers to ensure 24/7 operational efficiency

• Deploy monitoring tools such as LibreNMS, Cacti, Zabbix, and SmokePing

• Maintain proper documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions
