∎ Position Summary:
∎ Design and press proofreaders act an important role in ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency of content in various design and press materials. This person will review a wide range of materials including but not limited to care labels, heat transfer labels, brochures, manuals, and press releases. The proofreader will collaborate closely with the design and press teams to maintain high-quality standards and deliver error-free content to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax errors in all design and press materials.
∎ Ensure consistency of tone, style and messaging across different materials.
∎ Conduct thorough checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
∎ Check the accuracy of images, captions, charts and other visual elements.
∎ Work closely with design and prepress teams to understand project requirements and expectations.
∎ Provide timely feedback to designers and writers to facilitate revisions.
∎ Ensure all content aligns with established style guides, both internal and client specific.
∎ Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
∎ Clearly communicate feedback and corrections to team members in a constructive and professional manner.
∎ Conduct research to verify information, statistics and industry-specific terminology.
∎ Be flexible and able to adapt to evolving project requirements.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Experience with design and press workflows.
∎ Knowledge of printing processes and industry standards.
∎ Proven experience in proofreading and editing, preferably in a design or press setting.
∎ Strong knowledge of care labels, heat transfer labels, hangtags, stickers, etc.
∎ Familiarity with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, etc.) is a plus.
∎ Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual elements.
∎ Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
