Education:
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) can be advantageous.

Responsibilities & Context:
  • Source and procure goods and services required by the organization.

  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and selection.

  • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.

  • Negotiate terms of agreements, pricing, and delivery schedules.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to manage stock levels and minimize waste.

  • Create and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Develop and manage the procurement budget.

  • Analyze and forecast costs, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.

  • Work closely with other departments such as finance, operations, and logistics to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

  • Coordinate with the finance team to manage payments and resolve billing issues.
