Responsibilities & Context:
- Prepare and analyze the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) based on provided drawings.
- Review and verify drawings to ensure they meet the requirements of the work.
- Recommend and utilize the most suitable quantity of materials based on the location and nature of work.
- Collect first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other relevant locations.
- Maintain an up-to-date price list of all materials.
- Build and nurture relationships with key vendors including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues.
- Visit sites as necessary to ensure accuracy and progress.
- Perform site bill checks and ensure accurate billing.
- Propose alternative materials when needed.
- Liaise with architects and structural engineers to ensure the best possible product outcomes.
