∎ As new position has arisen within our organization as Environmental Manager to lead a small developing team to help baseline the companies and our suppliers, energy, water, chemical and waste usage. Work collaboratively to create and implement the strategy to drive improvement actions and create policies and procedures to deliver the highest standards of compliance for our customers.
∎ We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can work independently across multiple regions and time zones. Able to work onsite and in an office to deliver shared goals. Providing guidance and expertise to our suppliers to help them understand and improve their environmental operations.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ · Audit, analyze and report environmental performance to internal and external clients, via FEM, ZDHC, environmental audits and regulatory bodies.
∎ · Set organizational environmental sustainability targets to improve the impact of our supply chain and develop action plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery.
∎ · Identify our organizational environmental risks and opportunities, implementing projects to reduce risk areas and exploit opportunities where relevant across the whole supply chain.
∎ · Develop and lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices.
∎ · Train internal and external supply chain on how to improvement environmental impact across energy, waste, water and chemicals.
∎ · Ensure company and supplier compliance with local environmental legislation and aide in maintain our high standards of compliance.
∎ · Implement and maintain customer’s environmental requirements, across Chemicals, Water and Energy.
∎ · Participate in the annual data collection and reporting (internal, external) as well as controls (measurements, reviews) on environmentally relevant issues.
∎ · Be the environmental subject matter expert for the supply chain, keeping up to date on related industry trends (e.g., changing regulations, innovations in risk mitigation, testing mechanisms), knowing how to apply them across teams, and when not to.
∎ · Manage overall schedules for your environmental risk mitigation projects, overcome issues, and keep the scope of effort under control.
