Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Environmental Science/Management/Geography & Environmental Science or any relevant subjects from any Public University;

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Duration: 1 year (extendable up to project tenure upon performance)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Environmental Officer will work under the supervision of Project Manager and his/her specific tasks are, but not limited to, the followings:
∎ Develop and operationalize Environment Management System (EMS) of the project,
∎ Ensure timely and quality Implementation project activities followed by environmental management framework (EMF);
∎ Assess training need of micro-enterprises and facilitate relevant environmental training, certification and branding;
∎ Collect and collate data and ensure proper documentation of environmental progress;
∎ Maintain regular communication and coordination with environment unit of SEP, PKSF;
∎ Liaise with project support team at local level and provide technical support;
∎ Prepare lesson learned from local development activities;
∎ Intensive field monitoring to ensure proper adoption of sustainable environmental practices by micro-enterprises;
∎ Ensure implementation of relevant environmental policies, guidelines, tools, formats and document progress, learning and best practices;
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by his/her supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ At least 3 years extensive professional experience of development projects and project management.
∎ Having knowledge on environment, climate change, and micro enterprise issues;
∎ Ability to work under pressure;
∎ Excellent networking, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
∎ Excellent communications skills both in Bangla and English;
∎ Strong analytical and report-writing skills;
∎ Excellent command using Microsoft Office Package (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.);
∎ Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds;
∎ Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas;
∎ Ability to drive motorcycle with valid driving license.

Salary:
∎ BDT 50,000 (consolidated) with other admissible benefits as per organizational policy.
