Education:

• Bachelor/Honors

• Bachelor`s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university. A background in Social Sciences (e.g., Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, Development Studies) or a related field is highly preferred.

• Previous experience in household surveys, baseline/endline studies, or data collection for development or research projects in Bangladesh is a significant asset.

• Preference should be given to experience with similar themes (poverty, livelihoods, social protection). Excellent ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with respondents, build rapport, and handle challenging situations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for establishing quick rapport and trust with diverse urban respondents, especially in sensitive contexts like poverty graduation programs.

• Prior experience in data collection, surveying, community mobilization and technical knowledge on Online data collection using Tablets and app

• Understanding of the socio-economic and cultural dynamics of the target population. This helps in interpreting responses accurately and building trust.

• A keen attention to detail and accuracy to ensure reliable data recording, including the ability to spot and correct logical errors during the interview.

• High ethical standards, commitment to maintaining confidentiality and neutrality, and adherence to all study protocols and codes of conduct. Application Deadline: 20th October 2025.

• The ability to approach respondents with respect and empathy, particularly when discussing sensitive topics related to poverty, livelihoods, and household well-being.

• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team under the supervision of a Field Supervisor and to meet daily targets and deadlines.

• Ability to work long hours, often in challenging and congested urban environments, and to walk/travel between households in the assigned areas.

Social and Economic Enhancement Programme (SEEP) is a private voluntary development organization with a vision to create a society for children which is free of exploitation, discrimination and violence and supports growth to their highest potential. Established in 1985 with its head office in Dhaka, it is mandated to protect the children.

Programme Background:

SEEP has been working in the urban context for many years with the most vulnerable and marginalized groups to improve their economic and social status by addressing the underlying issues/causes of extreme poverty. Currently, SEEP is implementing a five years’ long (2023 to 2027) livelihood graduation programme in the Dhaka North City Corporation titled: “Urban Green Graduation Programme (UGGP)”. The programme`s overall goal is to Urban Extreme Poor households can sustainably meet their basic needs and have improved coping strategies through strengthened livelihoods which place value on the natural environment. This programme already been implementing with technical and financial support from Concern Worldwide and Irish Aid. SEEP is inviting applications from qualified and committed development professional.

Contract for  : 10 days

• 7 days for data Collection. 2,000 takas Daily (Food, communication, conveyance all-inclusive) 3 days for Training (During Training 1,000 taka for conveyance allowance; food and others included in training)
