Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Engineering (Marine / Ship Building Technology) from a reputed institution.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Adequate Knowledge & Experiences in condition assessment of Ships Hull, Railings, Bulwarks, Hatch Coamings, Main & Poop Deck at Dockyard Slipways, Blocks, Piers & Anchorage Areas for Docking / Schedule / Accidental Damages and preparing of maintenances / repair plans accordingly.
∎ 2. Adequate Knowledge & Experiences in handling ultrasonic gauging equipment for thickness measurement of ship’s hull, preparing thickness gauging reports & assessing the requirement of MS Plate renewals.
∎ 3. Adequate Knowledge & Experiences in studying Ships Drawings & Designs and formulate repair / maintenance plans accordingly.
∎ 4. Adequate Experiences in attending Class Surveyors and carrying out repair / maintenance plans as per his recommendations.
∎ 5. Adequate Knowledge & Experiences in preparations of WPS. Assessing welding requirements and allocating the welders accordingly. Monitoring the welding quality as per the WPS.
∎ 6. Adequate Knowledge & Experiences in NDT of the Welding Seams.
∎ 7. Preparing day to day work schedules as per the maintenance plan and allocating jobs to the Hull Foremen, Supervisors, Fitters & Helpers accordingly. Organizing, Supervising & Monitoring of the Hull Foremen, Supervisors, Fitters & Helpers to get best output from them.
∎ 8. Monitor & supervise the various repair & maintenance plans to ensure ships readiness on time.
∎ 9. Liaison with the Store Department and ensure proper inventory management e.g. but not limited to assessing the required materials for intended repair & maintenance plans, raising purchase requisitions & following up the same accordingly.
∎ 10. Adequate Knowledge & Experiences for purchased materials quality checking & reporting.
∎ 11. Sufficient computer operating knowledge e.g. but not limited to MS Word, Excel & Power Point.
∎ 12. Sufficient software operating knowledge e.g. but not limited to SAP / ERP / Tally.
∎ 13. Prepare Daily & Monthly MIS Report.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ • Ability to work under pressure.
∎ • Must have good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
∎ • Must have good communication skill in both Bangla & English.
