Responsibilities & Context:
Oversee engineering operations and provide technical leadership across multiple renewable energy project sites (solar / wind), ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.
Lead the review and development of engineering designs, system configurations, and infrastructure plans in collaboration with design consultants and EPC contractors.
Monitor real-time and historical plant performance, analyze trends, identify inefficiencies, and implement technical solutions to optimize generation and reliability.
Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements, including grid codes, renewable energy standards, and permitting conditions.
Collaborate with operations, procurement, construction, HSE, and senior management teams to ensure seamless project execution and operational readiness.
Prepare and review engineering reports, technical drawings, performance analysis, and other documentation required for internal and external stakeholders.
Lead the technical evaluation of bids and proposals, and support the selection and onboarding of contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers.
Oversee quality inspections of equipment and materials delivered to project sites, ensuring conformance with technical specifications and project requirements.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project engineering performance, risk mitigation measures, and progress against timelines and budgets.
Evaluate lifecycle costs and performance metrics to recommend cost-saving measures, efficiency improvements, and technology upgrades.
Organize and conduct technical training programs and workshops to build internal engineering capabilities and foster innovation.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
