Job Context:
∎ Location: Head Office
∎ JOB PURPOSE:
∎ Edit, proof-read and correct grammar mistakes of the draft and finished texts of teaching learning materials including teachers` guide packages, supplementary materials and training manuals of specific subject. Produce a final version that will be ready for design and publication.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Edit, proof-read, restructuring and rewriting as well as to improve phrasing and language use in order to make the texts for easier reading.
∎ Correct repetitions, spelling errors and grammar mistakes.
∎ Check that the contents of each lessons of students' workbooks/textbooks matches with teachers' guides and training manuals.
∎ Ensure clarity and consistency of the texts and style format i.e. spacing, indentation, capitalisation, paragraph and heading etc.
∎ Ensure appropriate position of figures, tables and presentation of the key information.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 04 years of relevant work experience is required
∎ Excellent written and oral/communications skills in both English and Bangla (Burmese is also required for the materials developed in Burmese language).
∎ Working in different types of education related materials or documents.
∎ Knowledge on pedagogic approach and learning competencies for emergency education. .Hands on experience on curriculum and Material development for education in emergency is required. Evident experience of book writing and editing is desirable.
