Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in international cooperation, economics, business development, textile or environmental engineering, construction engineering, sociology or any other relevant career with relevance to the position.

Job Context:
∎ For the team of our "Skills for Self-Monitoring and Compliance with Clean and Fair Production in the Textile Industry, SCAIP", we seek applications from suitable candidates for the position of "Economic Cooperation and Private Sector Development Advisor".
∎ Contract Duration till: October 2026
∎ Band: 4

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible for:

∎ Managing an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior
∎ Assisting project/programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups
∎ Advise supervisor on all task when implementing GIZ rules and regulation
∎ Advise supervisor in the field of project's planning, steering and monitoring
∎ Independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager
∎ Make decisions which have a short-term effect within a limited project area/ unit
∎ Assist supervisor to identify day to day problem and suggest appropriate solution
∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
∎ Tasks (Specific for Job Role):
∎ Assist supervisor on all task when implementing GIZ rules and regulation
∎ Maintain liaison with relevant governmental stakeholder, mainly the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), Department of Environment (DoE), Department of Inspections for Factories and Establishment (DIFE)
∎ Liaising and coordinating broad range of partners from the public and private sector and international donors
∎ Supporting the RSC in developing measures to improve their own capacity regarding to inspections and training services
∎ Support the project manager for the project monitoring and reporting
∎ Steer consultant to support the project team in developing tailor-made training measures for the target group of the project
∎ Core scope of tasks
∎ The position holder is responsible for:
∎ Supporting the implementation of the three outputs of the project: a) organisational and technical strengthening of the RSC; a) cooperation between the RSC and governmental stakeholders; c) support with services to improve the compliance with sustainability standards
∎ Monitoring and evaluation of the project activities
∎ Supporting the project to ensure a proper knowledge management
∎ Coordinate and liaise among the different stakeholder groups

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years in relevant occupational experience
∎ Work experiences with relations to environmental or social audit schemes
∎ Familiar with international requirements for occupational safety and
∎ Familiar with building safety and fire requirements for industries and best practices
∎ Other knowledge, additional competences:
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player
∎ Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Fluency (written and oral) in English and Bengali is essential
∎ Knowledge of German Language is an asset
∎ Ability to work in an intercultural environment
∎ Good organisational skills and managements expertise
∎ Diplomatic approach in communication with stakeholders
