Job Context:
∎ Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and poverty-free society that ensures everyone`s basic needs and rights. SKUS since the 2017 Rohingya refugee influx, SKUS has worked in Cox`s Bazar district with children, adolescents, women, and men. SKUS works to provide access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective environment, offer quality teaching and learning, and increase refugee/host community participation and engagement in children`s education. Based on children`s and adolescents` rights, SKUS has established a quality learning and protection center with support from different international donors, including UN agencies.
∎ SKUS has been implementing a project named Integrated ECD Services and Formal Education (Myanmar Curriculum) for Rohingya Children Aged 3-18 Years with the support of UNICEF. SKUS is looking for a suitable candidate for the immediate appointment of an ECD Officer for the project mentioned above, supported by UNICEF.
∎ Reportable to: Program Manager
∎ Duration of contract: up to August 31, 2024. (Contingent on Donor Extension and government approval.)
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya Cox`s Bazar`.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for proper implementation of ECD intervention within the project area supervising the daily operation of the ECD centre and quality of activities and effective use of resources at the camp level.
∎ Develop both long- and short-term lesson plans based on the curriculum and supervise the classroom-based activities and provide technical support.
∎ Develops educational programs that adhere to childcare standards, plan lessons for children, and schedule activities that coordinate with lesson plans as well as recreational activities
∎ Monitoring/supervising the learning environment, teaching-learning process, and learners' performance and assessing the learner's competency, and teachers' performance, and providing technical support and guidance.
∎ Update daily attendance for both the children and facilitators/facilitators and ensure the use of facilitators' guidelines, and teaching-learning materials at ECD Centers.
∎ Develop and conduct the different orientations, trainings, meetings, TLC, and different sessions and for the facilitators, staff.
∎ Ensuring the parent's meeting, parenting session, CSG meeting, and other consultation meetings at the community/center level.
∎ Responsible for leading, guiding, and supervising the facilitators, children, caregivers, and animators/volunteers.
∎ Maintains Child Care Center program in a manner that meets set conventional requirements including sanitation, safety, fire, and other regulations ensuring the facility is a safe and joyful place for children to learn and live to provide the best possible experience.
∎ Develops educational programs that adhere to childcare standards, plan lessons for children, and schedule activities that coordinate with lesson plans as well as recreational activities
∎ Develop effective communication and coordination with the CiC office, members of CESG, Parents, and other respective sectors like; CP, Nutrition, Education, SM--), Go/NGO officials, and other stakeholders.
∎ Ensuring the child safeguarding, protection, and PSEA to the children, and staff, and must always report any suspected cases of child abuse and others to the Child Safeguarding and PSEA Focal Point.
∎ You are obligated to participate in any training, meeting, and workshop by the SKUS and other supporting organizations and donor parties.
∎ To review the ECD yearly plan, budget, and prepper field level- monthly/quarterly activity plan, budget, and implementation properly.
∎ Undertakes other responsibilities/duties not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature in the humanitarian sector and which have been discussed and agreed upon between the line manager/superiors and the post holder.

∎ Working Condition:
∎ ECD Officer will work under direct supervision of Program Manager .
∎ ECD Officer is required to work at the field office and LC.
∎ She will spend approximately 80% of her/his time in the field/LC.
∎ She may have contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals

Salary: Tk. 65000 - 70000 (Monthly)
