Responsibilities & Context:
Organic Agriculture Limited is looking for an experienced and responsible Veterinary Doctor to manage and improve the health of a large-scale cattle farm with over 300+ cattle. This role requires hands-on farm experience, strong problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work under pressure while ensuring animal health, productivity, and welfare.
Plan, organize, and supervise daily farm operations to meet production targets
Monitor and maintain proper farm environment including temperature, humidity, ventilation, lighting, water, and feed supply
Diagnose, prevent, and treat cattle diseases effectively
Develop and implement nutrition and health improvement programs
Maintain accurate records of animal health, treatments, and disease outbreaks
Prepare regular health reports for project managers and senior management
Ensure proper waste management and environmental control within farm premises
Train, supervise, and motivate farm workers
Build a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement
Lead end-of-cycle activities, including shed cleaning, disinfection, and preparation for new intake, ensuring effectiveness through lab testing
