Educational Requirements:
∎ A high school diploma.
∎ Preferred Professional Certification: A valid drivers license.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Development Agency, Embassies/Foreign Consulate, NGO, Transport Service
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Transport people and equipment under good security conditions.
∎ When transporting ACF employees, respect the country’s circulation rules and follow the logistician’s planning and instructions.
∎ In case of an accident, immediately get in touch with the closest police station and duly inform the logistics department.
∎ Follow the instructions of the manufacturer and the ACF rules when using the vehicle.
∎ Keep all personal documents as well as those of the vehicle with you and check that they are valid.
∎ Solve minor technical problems & keep the vehicle clean.
∎ Inform the logistics department of any major repairs to be carried out.
∎ Carry out daily checks before starting up the motor & ensure radio communications.
∎ Note down fuel consumption in the record book in the morning and at the end of the day as well as any information.
∎ Check the security boots & ensure maintenance of the vehicle.
∎ Inspect and prepare the vehicle the day before departure so as to be on time.
∎ Prepare additional equipment to be brought along according to needs (fuel, stickers, flags, tools, medical kit).
∎ Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A clean driving record with no traffic violations.
∎ Mechanical skills.
∎ Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
∎ Familiarity with GPS devices.
∎ Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
∎ Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
∎ Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts.
∎ A polite and professional disposition.
∎ Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour, heavy rain etc.)
∎ Basic level of written and spoken English.
Salary: Tk. 36574 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1-month Gross salary every year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year depending on performance.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: As per organization policy.
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year).
∎ 18 days of paid annual leave per year.
∎ 10 days of paid casual leave per year.
∎ 14 days of paid sick leave per year.
∎ Paternity Leave, Compassionate Leave, Maternity Leave and Marriage Leave.
∎ Birth Allowance and Marriage Allowance.
