Additional Requirements: Working experience in the media stakeholders will be an asset;

Experienced in planning, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in relevant field in multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaborations
Candidate should have an extensive experience in communication and diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting, documentation, publication, and audio-visual material preparation in relation to conservation and development fields;
Candidate should be well versed in the latest electronic publishing and graphics methods
Strong writing and reporting skills (clear, concise, and responsible communication suited to the interlocutor);
Working with persons with disabilities will add additional value
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and in a multicultural context.
Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation and report writing skills;
Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building and change management skills;Demonstrate capacity to plan, prioritize and deliver tasks on time to meet goals on a highly pressured environment
Analytic and computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Good level of proficiency in producing snappy, crisp multimedia content, Photoshop, and adobe Illustrator, ability to type in Bangla
Proficiency in social media apps (Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, etc.)Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and oral, facilitating effective interaction with stakeholders.
Demonstrates responsiveness and sensitivity in interactions with diverse partners, fostering collaborative relationships.Exhibits cultural, gender, religious, racial, national, and age sensitivity, adapting seamlessly to diverse contexts.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Context:
- The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
- CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
- The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
- CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘Documentation and Communication Officer’ under a project titled, ‘Disability Inclusive Resilience Livelihood (DiRL)’ to be implemented with the support of CBM Global Disability Inclusion. The duration of the project is till 31st March 2025 and having possibility to renewal.
Project-specific Responsibilities:
- Develop different kinds of quality documentations, stories considering project progress and positive changes in people's lives throughout the project implementation;
- Support to prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual report;
- Prepare news, blog, press release, event reports or any other promotional content for the website and social media;
- Initiate innovative/new media communication platforms. Support visibility of the project activities by sharing in Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other media platforms;
- Document lessons learned, challenges and best practices;
- Prepare communication strategy and tools for the project;
- Regular update and monitoring to MIS/ website;
- Undertake online media campaign with lessons learned;
- Prepare training/orientation/workshop/event reports and press releases;
- Collect stories, photographs, and video from the field during training and field visit;
- Design e-newsletters, reports, banners, leaflets, posters, or any other promotional materials;
- Coordinate activities with CDD IT and Communication Department;
- Assist in collating material and drafting opinion pieces for newspapers and policy briefs;
- Monitor and manage all information flow mechanism and assist the project manager;
- Monitor and evaluate branding of all communication materials for external and internal use as per donor and organizations requirement;
- Support the project team to develop quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports;
- Produce reports and stories of the seminars/workshops organized by the project;
- Prepare and edit press releases, program related progress reports and documents;
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants;
- Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project;
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures;
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.
