Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare a structured activity plan (AOP) with specific and regular micro-level implementation plans and take the initiative to implement those plans.
∎ Assess community needs on willingness to pay with ability, indigenous knowledge/perception and practice/culture for ensuring comparatively better WASH services.
∎ Organize and participate workshops, seminars and forum to share programme activities and capacity development for programme sustainability as well as strong representative of organisation.
∎ Build the capacity of the concerned staff of WASH programme/projects and stakeholders including private sector actors through proper assessment of knowledge and skill gaps and organizing training/orientation/exposure visit/networking. .
∎ Communicate and coordinate with inter and or intra-departmental officials to exchange the knowledge for better performances of both programmes
∎ Follow up and monitor the regular activities of WASH programme/projects with various hardware support.
∎ Collaborate closely with the Local Government Institution, Government Administration and Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) at district level/upazila/pourashava level to avoid overlapping hardware support and share the programme activities.
∎ Follow up and monitor regularly of the activities of respective programme staff and give them direction to achieve the target with good quality.
∎ Identify and mobilize the school authority/private entrepreneurs/communities/households on installation of WASH facilities/setting WASH business and proper O&M of WASH facilities to ensure access to safely managed water and sanitation services including providing grants support or financial access from BRAC Micro finance/Bank.
∎ Prepare daily/ monthly/periodically report as per needed of the WASH programme.Collect and maintain proper records of all related data/information of activities of WASH programme/projects and keeping track related organizations.Safeguarding Responsibilities
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
