This position, under the supervision of the Project Manager, will work with the project team and the Disaster Risk Management Progarmme to ensure implementation of project activities within the time frame. The position holder will also monitor and provide technical support during the implementation of project interventions and achieve the stipulated results. This position will be based at the district level in the Eastern Flash Flood 2024 affected district and is required for frequent travel to intervention areas including the district, other upazilas, unions, and villages.
Monitor, track, and document project progress, achievements, and challenges
Document lessons learned and dissemination within BRAC and with other stakeholders as required
Conduct regular field visits to ensure effective, timely, and quality implementation of project activities
Organize work to meet deadlines including planning and tracking of progress
Prepare regular reports on interventions and applications as well as review the progress and challenges of the project
Support and ensure community engagement at all levels
Coordinate with other agencies, particularly those undertaking cash transfer programmes and other flood recovery interventions, in designing and implementing of the project
Participate in meetings with government, local elected bodies, or other NGOs at the national and local level
Ensure that the project is implemented in a cost-effective, consultative, participative, and gender-sensitive way
Assist in designing and lead the implementation of appropriate recovery interventions to address medium to long-term food security, livelihood, and WASH needs of the flood-affected population, ensuring gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion and where appropriate linkages with other relevant sectors
Adhere to BRAC values as well as the promotion of gender justice and women’s rights
Understand and adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety, and staff health and well-being principles
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
