Job Context:
∎ Disabled Child Foundation (DCF) is a non-Government organization (NGO) in Bangladesh led by persons with disabilities, which is an independent and non-profitable and non-political voluntary organization was established in June 27, 2005. The organization is also well-recognized as a Disabled People Organization (DPO) for active participation, leadership and professional engagement of persons with disabilities. Since its inception, Disabled Child Foundation has been working for the children and persons with disabilities in the country with the faith in the morals of working for the poor and disadvantaged people. It is going to implementation Strengthening people centered inclusive disaster risk management in Khulna of Bangladesh (DIDRM)project in Dacope/Koyra Upazila in Khulna District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility of Disability Inclusion Officer
∎ Support DIDRR project staffs in different programme areas across the office in promoting disability inclusion in Disaster Risk Reduction Programme..
∎ Provide technical support and advice on resourcing, data collection and analysis, M&E and appropriate tools and information on disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Programme
∎ Promote disability inclusion approach in the projects' context and improve the accessibility of the persons with disabilities to the several activities atwith members of Disaster Management Committees (DMCs) ie. Ward DMCs, Union DMCs and Upazila DMCs
∎ To strengthen the disaster risk reduction, the Government of Bangladesh has endorsed Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015 - 2030 and National Plan for Disaster Management (2021-2025)
∎ Conduct accessibility audits of the interventions and conduct advocacy to accessible everywhere for the persons with disabilities
∎ Lead on development capacity of field teams, community facilitators on mainstreaming disability inclusion.
∎ Promote the engagement of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in programme planning, monitoring, and implementation, including in humanitarian settings.
∎ Generate quality evidence on the needs and capacities of people with disabilities, including knowledge on assistive products, for using them in research and program work.
∎ Provide capacity building to the staff and project's participants, including awareness about Disability Law, 2013, The Standing Orders on Disaster (SOD) 2010, The Dhaka Declaration onDisabilities and Disaster Risk Management, 2015&United Nationals Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Bangladesh (UNCRPD)
∎ Support the planning, monitoring, and drafting and dissemination of the disability inclusion in the project and organization overall.
∎ Interact, build and nurture effective working relationships to foster coordination, collaboration and partnership for increasing networking and advocacy with working groups, GO, NGOs, Ups, donors and other institutions/ strategic stakeholders working on disability inclusion.
∎ Ensure to follow of the organizational, donor and partner policies, procedure, compliance and terms of condition to implement the project.
∎ Develop IEC material if required, other office wise knowledge and case stories of good practice on disability inclusion.
∎ Build an inclusive environment and adhere to organization's Protection policy and standards to be committed to the organization's vision statement and core values.
∎ Support to developmentguideline for inclusive complaint and feedback mechanism will be developed with MEAL system
∎ Assist in preparation of different work plans and reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to accomplish the targeted project activities.
∎ Incorporate the feedback/suggestions to implement the project effectively.
∎ Perform any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 2-3 year experience in the relevant field

Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)
