Job Context:
∎ Head of Microfinance is responsible for leading the Microfinance Program of Ambala Foundation. He will be reportable to the Executive Director. This position will be accountable for strategic decisions, policies and procedures and sustainability of Microfinance Program in the context of Ambala Foundation strategy.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (But must be ready visit field office frequently)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall management and administration of the Microfinance Program of Ambala Foundation.
∎ Implement a strategic plan focusing on increasing the outreach of the micro finance institution through the opening of new branches, growth of the existing branches and development of new credit products.
∎ Modify/refine the existing credit products and develop new products such as microcredit, SME, micro-saving, fund transfer and micro-insurance as per market demand and Implement the products.
∎ Support and guide the whole team of microfinance operation.
∎ Help HR & Admin on recruiting qualified and competent operational employees.
∎ With the help of HR, set-up an effective training calendar to develop MFP staffs.
∎ Work on staffs job satisfaction and motivating staff through various motivational mechanisms.
∎ Encourage others, to develop ideas, policies and strategies which will advance the Vision and Mission of the organization and ensure its future survival, competitiveness and effectiveness.
∎ He will be responsible for implementing and practicing all the policies, rules and regulations of Ambala Foundation are in practice in addition with the new policies that may be introduced in course of time.
∎ Undertake regular field visits to supervise field activities implemented by the Microfinance program staff and to ensure quality of Ambala Foundation program implementation.
∎ Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of field activities.
∎ Ensure effective administration, implementation, monitoring, follow-up and supervision of all staff and activity of Ambala Foundation Microfinance Program.
∎ Lead the delinquency management strategy, including legal actions against customers and employee when appropriate.
∎ Liaison and communicate with Government, Donors, Regulator and financial intermediaries and partners such as PKSF, Banks, MRA etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years experience Microfinance Program.
∎ Have capacity for Resource mobilization.
∎ Ability to explore and identify new funding opportunities, negotiate with financial institutions, write, submit and pursue project proposals etc.
∎ Ability to build good working relations with existing and potential development partners
∎ Excellent communication skill both in English and Bengali.
∎ Excellent operating skills over MS Office.
∎ Report writing and presentation skill.
∎ Age: 40-48 years.
∎ At least 02 years at similar position.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Micro Finance
