Job Context:
∎ Department: Audit
∎ Duration of contract : 1 year (with possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance)
∎ Age Limit: 50 to 62 years (flexible for extra-ordinary candidates)
∎ Duty station: National Headquarters, Dhaka

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan, manage, supervise and lead audit activities of the Society with best practices.
∎ Inputs for annual internal audit and risk management planning
∎ Setting up of audit, compliance and risk management systems for BDRCS
∎ Regular audit reviews on finance, logistics, programs, administrative and warehousing systems to timely identify and bridge control and risk gaps
∎ Risk-based pre-audit of procurement transactions and cash transfers to the office
∎ Verification of grant records and expenditures to assess compliance with donor rules and regulations
∎ Review and report on the existence, adequacy and consistent implementation of internal financial controls
∎ Prepare periodic audit reports highlighting significant/major issues that need higher management attention and present to the BDRCS authority
∎ Systematically track implementation of audit findings and recommendations
∎ Monitor status of prior audit recommendations by external auditors and partners/donor auditor
∎ Train and develop skill of Audit staff on key financial controls, donor requirements, risk management including anti-corruption policy
∎ Advise management on risk management and control concepts & best practices
∎ Other duties and special projects as assigned

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 50 to 62 years
∎ At least 10 years working experience in an audit function or related activities
∎ Experience of managing and supporting staff
∎ Experience in a humanitarian, development or International Organization is preferred
∎ Excellent verbal and written skills in English
∎ Good computers skills (Windows, Spreadsheets, Word processing)
∎ Able to prioritize and meet deadlines
∎ Proven skills in mentoring and coaching of staff
∎ Highly organized, proactive and innovative approach to work
∎ Flexibility (e.g. working beyond office hour if needed)
∎ Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement
∎ Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct
∎ Able to work in a team and respects opinions of others
∎ Honest and high level of integrity
∎ Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
∎ Good stress management skills-ability to work under pressure
∎ Assist the organization on occasion, in times of national, international, local emergencies or major disasters
