About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Deputy General Manager (DGM) to lead our HR, Admin, and Compliance department in a high-performance garments factory at Dhaka EPZ. This role demands strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a proactive approach to managing human resources, administration, and compliance to ensure smooth business operations and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Human Resources Management & Organizational Development
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and plans aligned with business objectives.
Ensure timely recruitment, onboarding, and training of employees as per manpower budgets.
Drive performance management through structured appraisals, job evaluations, and career development programs.
Monitor and address absenteeism, turnover, and employee stress proactively.
Review and update compensation structures, ensuring market competitiveness.
Lead initiatives for employee engagement, motivation, and retention.
Oversee talent management processes, including succession planning, personal development plans (PDP), and assessment reviews.
Drive organizational development initiatives, including Kaizen activities, restructuring, and training programs.
Develop strategic frameworks for career planning, talent retention, and workforce optimization.
Conduct one-on-one reviews with team members to ensure alignment with performance goals.
Participate in leadership meetings, presenting HR metrics, MIS reports, and strategic recommendations.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to achieve Strategic Business Objectives (SBO) and operational targets.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of HR and administrative strategies into business processes.
2. Industrial Relations & Grievance Handling
Proactively address industrial relations issues, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
Resolve grievances effectively, maintaining a balance between employee and management interests.
Foster strong relationships with workers and trade unions to anticipate and mitigate potential disputes.
3. Administrative Leadership
Ensure effective daily administration, including payroll processing, attendance management, and leave policies.
Oversee factory safety, security, and facility management with utmost professionalism.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with BEPZA, Industrial Police, and other authorities.
4. Compliance and CSR Activities
Implement and oversee compliance measures to meet buyer requirements and local regulations, including labor laws and BEPZA guidelines.
Lead social compliance audits and ensure timely resolution of any non-conformities.
Align company CSR activities with organizational values and stakeholder expectations.
Develop and enforce company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct to uphold ethical standards.
