Experience:

• At least 5 years

• Bachelor/Honors

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
• Field of study required: Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Development Studies, or related field.

• At least 5 years

• At least five to seven years of professional experience with writing and communications that demonstrates skills and hands-on experience in a combination of the following areas: public relations, public information, events planning, editing, publishing, layout, webpage design and maintenance, photography, videography and video editing, verbal and written translation.
• Strong experience in graphic design, photography, video editing, and creative writing is also required.
• Experience working for the international development organization is required.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT

• The DOC Specialist implements, executes and coordinates all of USAID/Bangladesh's outreach and communications initiatives.
• The incumbent serves a key role in liaising with USAID technical offices and implementing partners to develop and implement the Mission's communication strategy.
• The jobholder often coordinates interagency efforts with the U.S. Embassy Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) to ensure close collaboration with Embassy personnel on USAID public activities and projects.
• Also serves as one of the key DOC liaisons with USAID's Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs and the Bureau for Asia and lead collaboration with Agency content teams.
