Job Context:
∎ Purpose: To provide technical support for the installation and proper functioning of larger capacity of Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) and Effluent Treatment Plants (EPTs) through the water entrepreneurs/SMEs and owners of the RMG factories in both urban and rural areas.
∎ Job Location: BRAC Field Office
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Providing technical support for ensuring the proper set up with layout plan, erection and functioning of the larger capacity of Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) and Effluent Treatment Plants (EPTs) under the project of 'safe water for all as per guideline of the Grundfos and Hydro Industries Ltd.
∎ Assistance to the project field team for the selection of appropriate sites and water entrepreneurs and RMG factories to install the WTPs and ETPs as per design and specification of Grundfos and Hydro Industries Ltd.
∎ Providing timely support to the field team (Technical Officer) for developing a sustainable supply chain through SMEs for the proper functioning of the installed 30 WTPs and ETPs and ensure the after sales services for the satisfaction of the clients.
∎ Providing support to the SMEs (service agents) to set up with equipment and training on delivering services to the Water Entrepreneurs and RMG factory owners on the smooth operation of installed Grundfos and Hydro Industries WTPs/ ETPs technologies.
∎ Assist to the Manager Technical for preparing guidelines/ training modules and capacity building of the selected field staff, local water entrepreneurs and water vendors to expand their business in water services, Grundfos and Hydro environment-friendly technology, operation and maintenance, etc.
∎ Support to the project team for conduction of feasibility study, developing business model of the project, progress report on the technical aspect and periodic report on the functioning ETPs for effluent treatment in factories and WPTs for the supply of safe in communities.
∎ Field visit on a regular basis and discuss with water entrepreneurs, RMG factory owners and SMEs on the O&M of WTPs/ETPs, troubleshooting and update the project team on findings and further steps for solutions with preparing the field visit report.
∎ Emergency support to any programme within BRAC and other stakeholders about any technical issue consulting with Manager, technical.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience Requirement: Minimum 03 years' relevant experience on WASH including at least 1 year in the installation of WTPs/ ETPs is required.
∎ Additional Requirements:
∎ Sound technical knowledge on water and sanitation options, installation and erection of WTPs and ETPs and AutoCad work
∎ Familiarity with GIS, data analysis software
∎ Strong communications and report writing skills with gender-friendly attitude
∎ Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment
∎ Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
