Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc./ M.Sc. (Honors) in Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture from any recognised educational institute.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist management to develop agriculture and social forestry strategies and to ensure effective and timely implementation of programme strategies at the branch and regional level regarding agriculture and social forestry enterprise.
∎ Conduct regular field visits, proper follow-up and monitoring to identify participants’ needs and challenges, provide necessary guidance and supports to resolve for expected results.
∎ Assist branch level staffs to develop cropping patterns and annual crop rotation plan for individual programme participants and ensure availability delivery of allocated inputs (e.g., land lease, seeds, fertilizers etc.) for agricultural and nursery enterprises.
∎ Identify areas of capacity development for programme participants and staffs, provide quality inputs to develop training modules and guidelines, develop and execute staff training plans, and facilitate trainings on agriculture and nursery enterprises.
∎ Assist management to bring knowledge and innovations suitable for ultra-poor context and provide quality inputs, share learnings from field in different meetings, forums, seminars, workshops etc.
∎ Communicate and build network with relevant stakeholders within and outside BRAC to mobilise different resources and technologies, and create access for the programme participants.
∎ Develop different reports on Agriculture and Social Forestry enterprise, analyse and assist management to identify gaps and provide guidance accordingly.
∎ Implement market-based initiatives for program participants aimed at improving access to necessary and relevant services.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years’ experience in agriculture and social forestry related work. Experience of working with extreme poor people will be an added advantage.
