The Deputy Manager, MERL will lead the design, implementation, and strengthening of MERL systems for the BRAC–LEGO strategic partnership. The role ensures high-quality data systems, evidence generation, learning, and accountability to improve program effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.

  • Lead development and implementation of MERL frameworks, logframes, and Indicator Tracking Tables aligned with donor requirements

  • Design monitoring systems, research tools, and learning agendas for ECD interventions

  • Ensure quality data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting across all project locations

  • Oversee MIS integration with MERL systems for real-time data tracking and decision-making

  • Conduct Data Quality Assessments (DQA) and ensure adherence to data quality standards

  • Lead baseline, midline, endline, and evaluation studies in collaboration with partners

  • Generate analytical reports, dashboards, and evidence products for management and donors

  • Facilitate learning workshops, reflection sessions, and adaptive programming processes

  • Ensure accountability mechanisms, including beneficiary feedback systems

  • Provide technical guidance and capacity building to field teams on MERL tools and methodologies

  • Ensure safeguarding and ethical standards in all data collection and research activities

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including donors, research partners, and MEAL teams

  • Contribute to proposal development, reporting, and strategic planningSupport safeguarding implementation by promoting awareness, reporting procedures, and safe working environments

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
