B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or related field from a reputed university.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in R&D, preferably in the biscuit, confectionery, or bakery industry.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Research & Development to join our team and drive our product innovation and development efforts.

Job Summary:

  • The Head of Research & Development (R&D) will lead our R&D team, focusing on the development of new products, improvement of existing products, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of food science, a passion for innovation, and the ability to manage complex projects from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market trends.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with senior management to define product development priorities and timelines.

Product Development:

  • Oversee the formulation and development of new food products, from ideation through to commercialization.

  • Ensure all new products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct market research to identify consumer trends and opportunities for new product development.

Process Improvement:

  • Improve existing products and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Implement best practices in food technology and R&D methodologies.

  • Utilize sensory evaluation and consumer feedback to refine product offerings.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Quality Assurance.

  • Present research findings and product development progress to stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions.
