Education:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and oversee the implementation of vector control measures such as larval source management and insecticide application by city corporation staff.
∎ Conduct regular surveys and monitoring of vector breeding source identification.
∎ Identify species of public health significance and assess their abundance and distribution.
∎ Collect, manage, and analyze entomological data from DGHS to inform control strategies as well as prepare detailed reports on vector prevalence and transmission risk based on different indicator.
∎ Evaluate the effectiveness of vector control programs and recommend improvements.
∎ Lead campaign sessions on reducing breeding grounds for vectors in cleaning campaign.
∎ Develop training materials and modules based on breeding source destructions; Capacity building community workers and local groups in basic vector control techniques at household level.
∎ Collaborate with city cooperation to facilitate fogging, larvicidal activities particularly during dengue peak season ·
∎ Work with health authorities e.g. National Malaria and Ades Trasmitted Disease Control Programme, CDC, DGHS, NGOs, and other stakeholders to align project vector control strategies.
∎ Coordinate with epidemiologist, GIS teams to ensure integrated approaches to vector related data. SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ With the support of The Global Fund, The Climate Change and Health Project aims to raise awareness about the health impacts of climate change, particularly the rise in vector-borne and communicable diseases. By engaging local communities, health authorities, and relevant stakeholders, the project focuses on preventive measures, early warning systems, and capacity building to reduce the health risks associated with climate change. Activities include advocacy campaigns, training for health workers, seasonal health updates, and the identification and elimination of disease breeding grounds.
∎ The project strives to enhance community resilience and promote sustainable health practices in the face of climate challenges.
