Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Agriculture/ Agribusiness/ Environment Science/ Geography and Environment from any recognized university/ institution

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design and implement activities related to climate change adaptation through climate smart and conservation agriculture
∎ Provide technical advice on sustainable agriculture to guarantee production efficiency, climate adaptation and mitigation through effective climate smart, climate resilient and conservation agriculture
∎ Technically assess the applicability of prevailing climate vulnerability assessments for linking it with development of agribusiness value chains of the selected commodities
∎ Provide technical feedback in accessing and introducing climate resilient crop varieties, practices and systems for desired impacts
∎ Oversee introduction, demonstration of resilient crops and plants species in collaboration with government institutions
∎ Develop IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials on climate smart and conservation agriculture in consultation with relevant governmental and non-governmental bodies/ institutions/ organizations
∎ Technically manage the activities of CSA and CA demonstration sites to showcase climate resilient agricultural practices and technologies and ensuring the capacity development of communities and stakeholders on improved/recommended climate smart and conservation agriculture practices
∎ Conduct capacity needs assessment (technical, financial, equipment, knowledge) associated with incorporation of new climate smart and conservation agriculture practices and technologies
∎ Devise capacity development strategy/framework that addresses knowledge gaps, training and technical needs to support adoption of CSA technologies and practices;
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years' work experience. Experience in designing and implementing climate smart agricultural techniques at field level.
∎ Knowledge on agriculture, climate change science, adaptation, mitigation and resilience building
∎ Knowledge on global and national plan and policies on climate change issues
∎ Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Bengali and English
∎ Computer skills with all Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)
