Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

To support the Dentist in delivering quality oral health services by assisting during procedures, preparing instruments, maintaining hygiene standards, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices in the Rohingya refugee context.

  • Assist the Dentist during examinations, treatments, and minor dental procedures.

  • Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures.

  • Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices are followed.

  • Educate patients about post-treatment care and general oral hygiene.

  • Maintain patient records, appointments, and daily logs under the supervision of the Dentist.

  • Support in managing dental supplies and inventory.

  • Participate in community outreach and oral health awareness sessions as guided.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
