Dynamic Solution and Support Bangladesh (DSSBD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Defense Procurement Officer to manage and facilitate defense procurement processes through the Directorate General of Defence Purchase (DGDP) of Bangladesh. This is a full-time position based in Dhaka that offers the opportunity to work on high-profile national defense projects and contribute to Bangladesh`s security infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of DGDP regulations and procedures, with proven experience in defense acquisitions and tender management. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, the ability to liaise with both government authorities and international suppliers, and a deep understanding of defense procurement compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Tender and Procurement Management

• Manage end-to-end tender processes through DGDP portal, including preparation, submission, and tracking of tender documentation in compliance with DGDP regulations

• Monitor tender announcements on the DGDP website (dgdp.gov.bd), including latest tenders for spare parts, combat clothing, and equipment overhaul

• Coordinate evaluation/re-evaluation processes for defense equipment, following DGDP procedures for committees and standardization processes

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

• Ensure strict compliance with DGDP policies, including AFD Procurement Policy-2010, Defence Purchase Rules, and other relevant regulations

• Maintain updated knowledge of DGDP procurement guidelines, amendment procedures, and compliance requirements for defense acquisitions

Supplier and Stakeholder Relations

• Liaise with international manufacturers and principals for defense-related projects, facilitating communications and negotiations

• Maintain professional relationships with DGDP officials, Armed Forces divisions, and other government entities involved in defense procurement

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, tender documents, and compliance reports as per DGDP requirements

• Develop and submit periodic reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market intelligence for defense equipment

Strategic Procurement Planning

• Provide strategic advice to management on defense procurement opportunities and DGDP tender patterns

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and products for Bangladesh`s defense sector
