Educational Requirements:
∎ Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) degree at the minimum.
Job Context:
∎ HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, focusing on creating sustainable changes to ensure the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster situations throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects which assist in promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, building capacities of local stakeholders, and reducing the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox`s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection, and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host populations affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI`s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps located in both Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas providing comprehensive services in physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MHPSS.
∎ HI is currently implementing a development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, and Cox`s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices (Dhaka and Cox Bazar).

∎ HI is currently looking for some Data Enumerators for various projects
∎ Job Location: Camp 20 extension, Ukhiya

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Description of Service:
∎ According to UNHCR population data, the prevalence of persons with disabilities is only 1% of the camp population. Whereas independent studies Conducted by REACH using the Washington Group of Questionnaires found a 12% prevalence of persons with disabilities in the camps. Which is a significantly higher percentage than the UNHCR data. HI has not conducted yet a detailed formal disability profile survey but technically supported the study conducted by Reach on May 2021. One purpose of this study is to Cross check and keep the REACH studies data and share it with other stakeholders. This year under the ECHO project HI planned to conduct a detailed disability profile in Camp 20 extension to support evidence-based advocacy and improved program planning of humanitarian actors and authorities. This Disability profile will be shared among various sectors, Stakeholders, and authorities which will enable accurate planning for their humanitarian services. This study will reduce efforts to do screening and identification, organize awareness sessions and plan to mobilize internal resources and necessary procurement. Overall, it will provide clear data about disability prevalence, particularly in selected camps.
Additional Requirements:

∎ The candidate must have English language skills.
∎ The candidate must follow rules and regulation of HI Personnel Policy.
∎ The candidate must be Bangladeshi national from Cox’s Bazar district.
∎ The candidate must be 18 years old age and above.
∎ The candidate must be fluent in the Chittagonian language.
∎ The candidate should have android phone with reasonable charge back up.

Salary:
∎ Terms & Conditions from HI:
Data Enumerator receives BDT 1,000.00 (One Thousand BDT) per day as remuneration.
Data Enumerator has to work 8:30 hours (including lunch hours) in a day (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
Data Enumerator can enjoy all the government declared holidays; but it will not count as working day.
HI will not provide the car support for Data Enumerators.
Data enumerator can`t share the HI beneficiary data with other actor or agency. He/she must follow the data protection policy.
He/she must work from office and Field (Camp).
