Job Context:
∎ Location: Bangladesh - Cox`s Bazar 60%, Dhaka 40%.
∎ Job type: Fixed Term (Until 31 December 2020).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oxfam is looking for Country Security Advisor to deliver the Oxfam country security advice at field offices in Cox's Bazar, Ukhia, Teknaf Office and our main office in Dhaka effectively and efficiently.
∎ To be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and designing the strategy for the interventions of the security system according to the Country Operation Model (COM). Moreover, ensuring field and office security and accountability in respect of Core Humanitarian Standards as well as act to protect community people from threats to their life, health and dignity.
∎ To work closely with other departments such as Logistical, Financial, IT, People & Culture and Administrative elements to ensure an integrated and coherent response.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimal of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in security risk management; considerable practical experience of security assessment, planning and implementation of procedures in the context of humanitarian operations;
∎ proven ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external audiences including in complex and stressful circumstances;
∎ ability to advice and support field staff in a consultative manner; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the capacity to remain calm under pressure and not lose sight of strategic priorities.
∎ Must be organized and efficient; a sound understanding of gender awareness; sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts;
∎ willingness to travel at short notice, and often in difficult circumstances; committed to Oxfam principles;
∎ Ability to speak and report in Bangla and English; Knowledge of; NGO programming in emergencies;
∎ hostile Environment Security Training/ SSAFE Training/ EU-MSO/UN-Security Management training or similar training will be considered an advantage.

Salary:
∎ BDT. 1,722,303 per annum (13 months)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 10% market supplement with other benefits e.g. hardship allowance, medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.
