Educational Requirements:
∎ Counseling, psychology, or other similar degree/diplôma. Masters in counseling or clinical psychology preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify the psychosocial, socioeconomic, and administrative needs of patients
∎ Actively promote the availability of counseling services and carry out, individual or in-group counseling, and basic psycho-educational sessions, to patients, and their families (when needed), in order to alleviate their psychosocial difficulties within the project scope.
∎ Refer patients to other specialists or other institutions for further assistance, when necessary in order to propose the best support available.
∎ Participate in the creation of any material needed for counseling activities and look after it,
∎ Keep files and statistics of daily activities and participate in team meetings to share experiences and discuss special cases with other counselors, preserving the confidentiality
∎ Inform the line manager of any problem of any kind arising during the day-to-day activities.
∎ Take an active part in training, supervisions/interventions, and support the activities manager when necessary in doing sensitization for MSF staff or external partners about mental health /psychosocial issues.
∎ Discuss difficulties and problems in counseling with the supervisor.
∎ Other:
∎ Provide psycho-social care to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence survivors, factory workers with occupational health hazards in need of Mental Health services in a confidential and friendly environment.
∎ Facilitate individual and group counseling as necessary under the supervision and guidance of the Mental Health Activity Manager.
∎ Conduct individual and group discussion sessions for Adolescents girls and boys, pregnant women, and survivors.
∎ Provide psychoeducation in the waiting areas of the clinics.
∎ Make regular visits to the community and registered factories together with the relevant community health promotion team and provide mental health education to community people and factory workers on aspects related to Mental Health topics.
∎ Make visits to the external organizations where the patient is referred to and able to provide counseling and education sessions there weekly/monthly.
∎ Regular follow-up over the phone to those who will miss the follow-up appointment.
∎ Manage an SGBV hotline number 24x7 on a roster basis.
∎ In collaboration with the Mental Health Activity Manager, identify and revise appropriate mental health messages to be used both in the clinic and in communities/factories.
∎ Able to work outside Kamrangirchar if service is needed and required.
∎ Flexible in taking up additional tasks/responsibilities assigned by the supervisors.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 21 years
∎ Experience: 1-year experience in counseling essential. Experience with NGO or/and medical settings desirable.
∎ Language: The Bengali language is essential. The English language is desirable.
∎ Competencies: Results, teamwork, flexibility, commitment, service.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 52730 - 63276 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly salary according to level 5 of the internal MSF salary grid, which is 52730 BDT gross. Two annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Festival Bonus: 2
∎ Contract length 1 year.
∎ Working hours: Full Time (48 hours per week)
∎ MSF OCA Kamrangirchar project office, with frequent visits to MSF clinics and other field locations.
∎ No relocation allowance shall be provided
