Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Development Studies (MDS) in , Economics Urban Planning or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the Service Mapping Process across all and forthcoming SUDIN sites in coordination with services focals and operations team
∎ Identify and lead the development strategic partnerships with other NGO’s, key stakeholders and agencies to ensure a comprehensive referral network across all dimensions of the SUDIN project.
∎ Develop and maintain a database of all services included in the referral network of SUDIN according to programmatic requirements.
∎ Maintain liaison with key national stakeholders including government, local government bodies, NGO and private sectors as part of continuous service mapping and referral network expansion.
∎ Conduct regular meetings with external partners (NGO, Government, private sector) to maintain liaison, identify barriers and bottlenecks and emerging service trends and share feedback with the Head of Program to continually improve project activities.
∎ Work with SUDIN focals and Urban Programs Head within SAJIDA to develop guidelines, including SOP, for implementation of the project where service integration is indicated.
∎ Conduct regular meeting with internal stakeholders including field team, research team, SAJIDA Focals and consultants in order to further improve and re-design the project activities.
∎ Coordinate and guide the ‘Social’, ‘Livelihood,’ ‘Health,’ and ‘Education’ Internal SAJIDA Focal points to develop the relevant services packages, budget and SOP’s for each dimension to ensure they align with the aims, principles and vision of the SUDIN.
∎ Lead on the development of identifying partnerships for ‘Living Conditions’ dimensions of the SUDIN.
∎ Work with communities and project design team to ensure each pilot site has an appropriate ‘neighborhood space’ to engage in community activities –including conducting a needs assessment, identifying and leading the development of the budget, partnerships and resources required.
∎ Assist the Head of Urban Programs to develop concept note and budget for the project.
∎ Orient the SUDIN team regarding services packages in coordination with Capacity Building Manager and relevant focals/experts.
∎ Engage with the research and tech team to conduct regular reviews and quality assurance of referral pathways with the project and provide Bi-monthly reports to the Head of Urban Programs.
∎ Make field visits to pilot sites to develop contextual knowledge of each site, develop relationships with field team and support as necessary.
∎ Ensure SAJIDA HO policies (eg. Child Protection, Safe Guarding, Code of Conducts, Leave etc.) are implemented within SUEPP activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Have minimum 3 years of management experience in development projects in Bangladesh
∎ Experience working in Urban Poverty Alleviation, Mental Health or Gender focused projects preferred
∎ Experience of working with different level stakeholders including government, municipalities, NGOs and donors.
∎ Report-writing skills, and the ability to interpret or present data
∎ Knowledge and understanding of key urban poverty, gender and social issues
∎ Program design thinking, process improvement and problem-solving ability
∎ Advocacy and networking skills
∎ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
