• 5–8 years’ experience in denim washing R&D (with international buyers preferred).

• Computer literacy & Must be fluent in English (Reading, writing, and speaking.

• Cost efficiency of recipes vs. budget.

• Buyer satisfaction feedback.

• Strong knowledge of dry & wet processes (enzyme, stone, PP spray, laser, ozone, e-flow, etc.).

• Understanding of denim fabric behavior under different washes.

• Skilled in recipe preparation, cost analysis, and wash troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of sustainability practices in denim washing.

• Residence: Preferably in Gazipur.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive wash development requests from buyers/merchandisers and ensure proper execution.

• Develop wash recipes (enzyme, stone, bleach, acid, tinting, over-dye, laser, PP spray, resin, etc.) according to buyer specifications.

• Ensure samples are developed within lead time and meet required aesthetics (shade, softness, hand feel, effects).

• Coordinate lab dips, strike-offs, and size set wash with the team.

• Modify recipes based on buyer comments until final approval is achieved.

• Act as the liaison between buyer/merchandising and washing production teams.

• Communicate buyer comments, wash standards, and approved recipes to production.

• Ensure smooth transition of approved R&D samples to bulk feasibility trials.

• Participate in buyer visits, fit sessions, and wash approvals when required.

• Maintain wash recipe library, process sheets, and approved samples.

• Prepare and circulate R&D reports, cost analysis, and chemical consumption records.

• Work closely with QA to ensure wash effects remain consistent in bulk.

• Document all buyer approvals, changes, and history files.

• Research and propose new washing techniques (laser, ozone, e-flow, sustainable chemicals).

• Coordinate with chemical suppliers for new product trials.

• Support factory’s sustainability roadmap by reducing water, chemical, and energy consumption.

• Ensure compliance with ZDHC, MRSL, REACH, and other buyer sustainability requirements.

• Verify all R&D trials are aligned with PP samples and buyer standards.

• Monitor shade consistency, shrinkage, hand feel, and finishing in all developments.

• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
