The Opportunity

The community health` program will contribute to Save the Children`s (SC) larger Health and Nutrition strategy in the RR/Humanitarian Response, responding effectively to the unmet needs of vulnerable populations including host communities in Ukhiya and Teknaf. This Program will from an integral part of SC`s community outreach and SBCC strategy and support for community-based preparedness and response activities through Community health workers.

The coordinator will be responsible for leadership and technical assistance for the startup of ongoing Community Health & Nutrition programming, existing and new interventions such as technical support includes coordinating and facilitating trainings, guidance to CHWs and TBAs, Identification, adapting, developing and dissemination of relevant SBCC/IEC materials. S/he will work in close collaboration with SC`s Community mobilizations teams including Implementing Partners and other sector departments to ensure proper coordination and implementation of integrated approaches; attend community health working group meetings; provide technical assistance to the working group and submit regular reports to sector and health managers. S/he will schedule regular site visits for monitoring and supervision to ensure quality of health services, accurate information dissemination, data collection and tracking of health promotion activities and overall client satisfaction through innovative evidential approach. Furthermore, he/she will be responsible for the SCI medicalization interventions with digital health solutions at services delivery level with contribute evidence generation.
