∎ At least 5 years’ working experience with INGOs, preferably in urban planning, urban development, children and youth engagement and national advocacy.
∎ Proven working experience in multiple stakeholder management and providing secretariate for a multistakeholder alliance.
∎ A proven track record for the successful development and implementation of advocacy initiatives.
∎ Proven campaign management skills for multi-stakeholder platforms for child rights protection and sustainable urban development.
∎ Sound understating on the national and international urban policy, SDGs, etc.
∎ Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
∎ Strong understanding of policy making processes both in local and national level and demonstrated experience of working with stakeholders in the government and donors on advocacy and policy.
∎ Experience of concept note and proposal development.
∎ Knowledge and experience on urban resilience, urban planning, urban development, children and youth engagement and national advocacy, global policies and practices and relevant programs.
∎ Strong project management, partnership management and budget management skills.
∎ Need to have clear understanding of inclusive urban development model for Bangladesh.
∎ Basic knowledge and experience in Child Protection programming.

∎ This position will be responsible for providing technical and operational support to make the Cities for Children Alliance functional through effective collaboration with multistakeholder organizations. The Coordinator will work closely with the Alliance members including government organizations, NGO/INGOs, Academic and civil society organizations (CSOs) to facilitate joint implementation of the interventions undertaken by the Alliance. The Coordinator will also engage key individuals and youth-led organizations to advocate for inclusive and child-friendly cities. The responsibilities of the Coordinator will also include a wide range of activities, which are, working closely with Humanitarian team, PDQ team and other team members to design and implement campaigns, workshops and events for the alliance. Additionally, the Coordinator will facilitate collaboration with academic and research professionals. This position will collaborate with the Humanitarian Sector of SCI to support operational programme implementation of ongoing DRR-CCA projects as well as engage in new business development.
