Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead all necessary preparatory work for the project's inception.
∎ Conduct collaborative research with Agriculture Universities or Agriculture research institutes to find out an appropriate dose of biochar or biochar plus composts in different crops.
∎ Coordinate the Biochar project and finalize an appropriate dose of biochar or biochar plus composts in the different crops for the farmers.
∎ To develop efficient biochar producer groups ad linkage them with a sustainable marketing system.
∎ Setting the demonstration of biochar plot and keep all records for the promotion of biochar to other farmers.
∎ Finalize appropriate biochar stove, which is more acceptable to the household for cooking.
∎ Develop linkage with appropriate companies marketing biochar or biochar enriched fertilizers.
∎ Work closely with national or international consultants of carbon reduction expertise to transform the project into a low carbon emission project.
∎ Provide overall supervision and leadership to the project team.
∎ Plan the activities of the project and monitor progress against set indicators
∎ Prepare project progress reports, information releases, as well as monitoring and review.
∎ Prepare reports in accordance with donor's guideline;
∎ Prepare project budget and administrative arrangements as required by the donors
∎ Ensure periodically coordination meetings and clear work planning, the effective execution of activities by the project staff
∎ Ensure all financial and procurement procedures, in accordance with CCDB's rules and regulations.
∎ Monitor financial resources and accounting to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reports.
∎ Present the learning of the project to the donors as well, as at any international event.
∎ Accompany donor representatives on their visits to selected project sites.
∎ Prepare and ensure that the Project M&E plan is implemented

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 5 years of relevant working experience on Biochar project/agriculture research project/Agricultural marketing project.
∎ Experience in working and collaborating with government will be an asset.
∎ Communications experience and advocacy skills are preferred
∎ Willingness to travel to the remote areas.
∎ Sound knowledge in English for preparing quality report.

Salary: Tk. 60000 - 70000 (Monthly)
