Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract up to 31 December 2023 (Anticipated Funding)
∎ Job Purpose: The Cooking Demonstrator will be responsible for facilitating Cooking demonstration and Mukhe vaat sessions, messaging and counselling to caregivers and beneficiaries attending services in the OTP, TSFP and the BSFP Centre. She will develop and disseminate a range of health and nutrition messages including breastfeeding, hand washing, dietary diversity, ANC and PNC attendance, micro-nutrient supplementation among others geared at influencing adoption of appropriate behaviour change around maternal infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN). In addition, she will support mothers and caregivers on developing nutritious recipes targeting age specific complementary feeding. She will also work closely with the nutrition team to identify children who are not responding to the treatment as required and structure particular messages to address identified challenges with child feeding and ensuring that the caregivers are supported to ensure adequate care for their children. The Cooking Demonstrator will perform other activities requested by her supervisor based on project need.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ In liaison with the Nutrition Site Supervisor and Community Nutrition Mobilize to prepare for and disseminate Cooking demonstration practices, health education and counselling sessions at the site level on a range of topics around MIYCF and CMAM.
∎ Contribute to the development of health and nutrition promotion messages to pass to the targeted community members including review of suitability of existing IEC materials within the response.
∎ Identify caregivers requiring individual and or group counselling on particular topics and administering them to address identified challenges.
∎ Supervise conduction of health, nutrition, and hygiene and health education for caregivers of beneficiaries attending OTP/TSFP and BSFP services by the health education volunteer.
∎ Conduct trainings to community volunteers on key nutrition/health/hygiene messaging, community screening for malnutrition, case identification and referral.
∎ Assist volunteers and counsellors in delivering messages on preparation of supplementary foods provided to beneficiaries at the sites.
∎ Motivate caregivers to make healthy changes and adopt recommended health and nutrition practices including encouraging them to attend nutrition services at the nutrition sites.
∎ Assist the community volunteers implementing promotional activities to document and plan activities on a monthly basis
∎ Compile weekly activity reports of Cooking Demonstration and other community based activities and share with the Site supervisor.
∎ Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the team.
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of Concern's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management etc.)
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager.

∎ Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one year experience to work in community nutrition project. Experience on Community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) and IYCF programming.
∎ Having good knowledge on Rohingya refugee programmes will be preferable.
∎ Fluency in chittagonian / Rohingya dialect, both written and verbal as well as Bangla.
∎ Only Female candidates are eligible as they will closely interact with the children and mothers.

Salary: Tk. 18833 (Monthly)
