Job Context:

∎ Line Manager: HR & Admin Assistant
∎ POSITION SUMMARY: DCA is looking for a cook who will provide lunch in the office for DCA`s staff on a daily basis and during other events such as workshop/meeting. Additionally, the Cook who will also serve as the Office Cleaner. He/she`s responsibility is to keep the office tidy and clean, and ensure that office equipment is kept in order. S/he will also provide logistical support for any official meeting/ training/workshop in Cox`s Bazar offices and distribute office supplies when and where require.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Cook and Kitchen Services:
∎ Will prepare good, healthy and tasty food for lunch for staffs in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure work area is kept to a hygienic and safe state at all times.
∎ Maintain a high standard of service at all times.
∎ To behave in a friendly and hospitable manner to all guests and colleagues.
∎ Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and guidance are implemented, adhered to and reviewed regularly, in respect of kitchen production, employees, machinery, equipment and hygiene.
∎ Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
∎ Cleaning Services:
∎ Clean offices, furniture, equipment, kitchen, conference rooms, reception area, bathrooms and other shared office spaces daily (and throughout the day as necessary).
∎ Cover the reception desk in absence of Office Assistant.
∎ Provide support and assistance to any organized events in Cox's Bazar including serving refreshments (snacks, lunch dinner etc.) and providing admin and logistics support to facilitators and participants.
∎ The ability to work independently and in a team.
∎ Any other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to cook variety of cuisines including Bengali, Chinese, and Indian foods. Clear knowledge about cleaning and maintenance of office equipment and furniture.
∎ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
∎ Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience working as a Cook and Cleaner in an international or national organization.
∎ Education can be relaxed in term of extra ordinary long time prior track record or experience.
∎ Able to prepare foods for official seminar, meetings and workshop to agreed times.
∎ A sound understanding of kitchen hygiene required. Ideal candidate should be well in self-hygiene.
∎ Willingness to follow the rules and regulations of the company.
