Educational Requirements:
∎ M.Sc /M. Phil/ Ph.D in Aquaculture/Fisheries /Marine Sciences / Related Discipline

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Activity Title: Strengthening tilapia seed market systems and promotion of better production technologies among farmers in Bandarban & Cox`s Bazar districts.
∎ Project Duration: June 2019 to February 2020
∎ Consultancy Period: 30 days

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The national consultant who expert on Tilapia fish breeding technique and brood management. The assigned consultant initially revised the existing AIN training module on Tilapia compliance with global standard then conducted hands on training on 3 days long training for our staff.
∎ The consultant also supports other hatcheries on Tilapia commercial seed production and brood management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years' hands-on experience in the Tilapia field focusing the brood sourcing, rearing and management, commercial seed production, promotion and marketing etc.
∎ Ability to provide the hands on training to hatchery technicians
∎ Working with private sector/INGOs will add an advantage.
∎ Computer Literacy: Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
∎ Good command of English.
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skills and good reporting skills with management

Salary:
∎ Consultancy fee BDT 13,000 - 15,000 per day (As per ITO 1984, Tax to be deducted at source)

∎ As per project policy
