∎ Project Background: Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU), Ministry of Food is working to establish a Country Food System Dashboard for Bangladesh. The work is supported by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University (JHU). This Food Systems Dashboard is a useful tool to visualize and understand data relevant to the food systems for its potential users. The Bangladesh Food Systems Dashboard aims to support national and sub-national including city corporations level stakeholders with the data who need to better understand their food systems and to help identify priority actions that are needed (and where) to transform food systems to improve diets and the impact of food systems on the environment. ∎ Purpose of Consultancy: The Communication consultant will be a key player in supporting with the effective development, execution, and implementation of the Bangladesh Food Systems Dashboard communication strategy.
∎ Scope of Work: Generate innovative ideas: Develop and execute communication plans and outreach strategies for promoting the FSD among target audiences including government officials, private sector stakeholders, civil society organizations, and the general public through various media channels.
∎ Develop IEC materials: Develop engaging, informative, and visually appealing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to communicate complex concepts related to the FSD to diverse stakeholders.
∎ Documents Management: Review policy briefs, workshop reports structure, and other technical documents related to the FSD from communication view point and work with GAIN team to finalize it..
∎ Video and Animation: Review the content of animated video and interview video and other products produced by the team and share feedback to viodeo/animation development agency to revise it and finalise it.
∎ Support Other Comms-related Activities: Support other communication-related activities for the FSD project as needed, including event planning and execution, media relations, and social media management.
∎ Confidentiality: All information provided as a part of the proposal/application evaluation process and the ToR is considered confidential. Proposal/Application discussions and all the information received in responses to this ToR will be held strictly confidential.
∎ Timeline: Duration of consultancy: three months after selection. Tentative timeline mid May to Mid-Aug 2023.

∎ Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
∎ Knowledge of basic design software's like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc. is an added advantage.
∎ Experience in working with the development or private sector in terms of media promotion and liaison.
∎ Expertise and experience of working in communication and working with Government, UN, development partners, media, and research agencies
∎ Proven experience working on graphics design, photography, PowerPoint, Microsoft word and excel.
∎ Experience with social media as well as digital and traditional media content creation (including videos, photos, success stories, features, press releases, graphics, animations, and live streams, website content management, reports, fact sheet, news articles, feature case studies etc)
∎ Fluency in English is essential - spoken and written.

Salary:
∎ Payment Schedule: Monthly payment will be based on deliverables. Total payment of BDT 300,000 (Three Lac BDT) will be equally distributed to three months including Vat and Tax. The consultant shall submit an Invoice to GAIN. The invoice will give details of the amount and time worked and the work status report. GAIN will pay the fees in the invoice upon completion of the required task to GAIN`s satisfaction within 30 days of receipt of the invoice submitted in accordance with the TOR.
