Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term up to 31 December 2022
∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for the CRAAIN project is responsible for the achieving programme aims and objectives; and ensuring delivery by consortium members (Water Aid, JJS, Rupantar and Concern Worldwide). He/she will be responsible for high quality planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, reporting, partnership and budget management. He/she will also be responsible for coordinating with other actors and stakeholders in the EU Food and Nutrition Security Programme for Bangladesh 2015; and ensuring coherence with the wider aim of the overall programme.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic leadership: Provide strategic guidance and management support to CRAAIN management structures established for the programme and manage the delivery of objectives of programme internally with Concern and with implementing partner organisations.
∎ Programme Implementation: Ensure the development and application of harmonised approaches for implementing the Programme including the development of standards and frameworks for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL).
∎ Reporting: Ensure that monthly Programme progress updates are produced and shared with Consortium Members
∎ Coordination and Advocacy: Liaise on a regular basis with other departments of the Lead Agency and other Consortium members to guarantee the smooth running of the Programme.
∎ Partnership Management: Ensure timely preparation and signing of partnership agreements and annual grants agreements.
∎ Financial and other resource management and donor compliance: Ensure that all resources, financial and otherwise, are utilised efficiently and transparently in adherence to the donor guideline and agreements signed for the project.
∎ Concern Policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS): Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Other Duties: Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Programmes Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 12 years' experience working in health & nutrition sector, including at least 7 years of experience of working at senior level. Experience of managing nutrition governance Programme is preferred
∎ Prior experience of designing and/or delivering large-scale complex donor project focusing nutrition and integrated Programmes.
∎ Proven ability to manage consortia with an extensive experience managing multi-agency Programmes.
∎ Ability to represent the nutrition Programme at a strategic level and engage and influence key stakeholders (Government. civil society, privet sector) at district and national level.
∎ Demonstrated experience of working with national level government structures to strengthen the capacity of the state to take ownership for and deliver services.
∎ Experience in management of finance and budget monitoring and risk management.
∎ Experience of building, leading and developing a team of senior staff with different backgrounds and expertise
∎ Proven partnership management skills and the ability to interact effectively with donors, collaborating agencies, local and government partners.
