Experience:

• At least 7 years

• Post Graduate is required, ideally in a related field such as Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Disaster Management, Development Studies, Social Science or related subject.

• At least 7 years

• Age 35 to 45 years

• Must have experience in development organization with at least three years in managerial position.

• Proven track record in project management and implementation skill and leading a team.

• Should have experience in working with partner organization.

• Negotiating and managing problems and conflicts.

• Require skill in preparing report both in English and Bangla.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Ability to operate with independence, under pressure, to meet deadlines and commitments.

• Proven ability to work as part of a team, and as part of a wider network, monitoring partner organization.

• Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

• Willingness to visit and stay at remote area.

Job Context:

Project Summary: Strengthening Emergency Preparedness and building infrastructure for Disaster Vulnerable Communities in Bangladesh (STEP & BuildIn) Project is aiming to improve the life and livelihood status of the vulnerable people by focusing on (i) Strengthening knowledge, response and recovery capacity of different stakeholders (ii) Reducing the disaster risk through improving physical structure and providing improve adaptive services to the community and (iii) Reducing the vulnerability of the community people through providing improved and alternative livelihoods.

Project Name: Strengthening Emergency Preparedness and building infrastructure for Disaster Vulnerable Communities in Bangladesh (STEP & BuildIn) Project.

Role of the Position and Duration: (Duration: December 2024 to November-2025) The Consortium Manager will lead the project with the assistance from focal person. be the key person to overall implementation, management, coordination, communication and report for the project. S/he will be responsible as primary contact person of the project including partner organizations and donor. S/he will be responsible to ensure best possible achievement in line with the ultimate deliverables of the entire project. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Developing strategies, guidelines, plan and budget for the project implementation smoothly and timely.

• Coordination and implementation of the project activities in line with planned project outputs, outcomes and indicators.

• Monitor implementation process and provide necessary feedback to improve quality of services and project activities of CCDB and partner organizations.

• Analysis outcomes of project activities and prepare reports for project reporting.

• Building and maintaining partnership with national and international alliances to focus project success.

• Manage, coordinate and communicate with partner organizations and provide programmatic and technical decision for the smooth and timely implementation of the project activities at field level.

• Develop and submit final report in prescribe format for donor and organization.

• Liaison with government agencies and keep good relation as a part of the project management and implementation.

• Prepares and monitors partnership agreements with implementing partners.

• Provide support in managing resources overseeing budgets.

• Organizes and leads regular team meetings and support in organizing meeting with focal persons and donor.

• Ensures strict application and respect of the Internal Regulations by the project team.

• Ensures technical learning from projects by drawing on lessons learned and good practices

• Coordinates and collaborates with relevant internal services, especially logistics, HR, finance, and technical resources

• Ensures that data related to the project is collected and compiled in the project database

• Ensure the participation and involvement of relevant stakeholders in project activities.

• Organize different capacity building training for the project staff to enhance the capacity.

• Build and nurture effective teamwork in the field Offices.

• Ensure timely technical, administrative and logistic support to the field offices and partner organizations.

• Help field team to develop and maintain such linkages with GOB/other agencies and utilize the best services/facilities
