Responsibilities & Context:

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for completing their job as assigned by Foreman within set targets following set guidelines, processes and procedures to ensure successful completion of work, communicating to the foremen in charge as necessary to meet the assignment adhering to QHSE standards and procedures/policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow Lamination supervisor’s direction in composite boat building

• Build boats as per the specifications and drawings

• To be familiar with composite boat building techniques and methods

• To have knowledge about composite boat building materials as glass fibers, resins and cores

• To have the basic knowledge of molds and plugs

• Cut and Prepare glass fibers and cores

• Knowledge of mixing and application of resins and fibers

• Adhere to quality control procedures

• To work in adaptable way

• To be flexible to changing situations

• To be a good team player

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications: More than 02 years experience in same filed.

Minimum Experience: 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in FRP composite boat building, commercial and/or military ship building and/or repairs.

JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS:

• Basic knowledge of boats (i.e. performance, stability, technical drawings, technical specifications, etc.)

• Knowledge and experience in composite lamination process and techniques

• Knowledge of fiberglass composite materials and handling

• Knowledge in FRP composite tooling/pattern making

• Knowledge in FRP composite structural bonding/fitting

• Knowledge of FRP composite molding and lamination process

• Ability to read and understand drawings, sketches and documents associated with carpentry or joinery work & template making.

• Knowledge of quality/control procedures.

• Ability to adjust to changing demands.

• Ability to think/plan/act effectively.

• Follow and implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work with multinational team
